Who are alker?
We are an independent fibre optic termination house based in Surrey in the UK. We specialise in the termination of optical fibres, connectors and devices for medical, aerospace, sensor, telecommunications, and defense applications. We provide a bespoke termination service to customers who need quality, consistency and peace of mind.
Founded in 1986 by my father Alan Kershaw we now celebrate our twenty fourth year in business. We have spent these years perfecting our processes and being recognised throughout many industries as experts in the field of fibre optic terminations, polishing and cleaning.
What makes alker different?
Everything is processed in-house – we do not batch test any of the 13 to 15 stages in our termination facility and only use the finest components from the best suppliers in the world. With alker quality is guaranteed.
We will work with our customers, or their supplier engineers, to overcome fibre issues before they become a problem in production. We can often provide an answer to problems and produce a working example in a short amount of time as a result of our extensive experience.
We keep our promise to you. We do this by only promising what we can achieve. Our varied stock means we are immune to any delays usually associated with the “just in time” supply problems.
24-hour Emergency Services
We offer a unique “Emergency Service” for our existing customers where we bring our dedication to service and standards to you within twenty four hours. When vital components have broken, failed or a delivery from a supplier is late, we can solve your problems overnight.
When you’re unable to send the product to us, we can come to you with our on-site termination facility.
