E2000 Fibre Optic Pigtails
The E2000 style of fibre optic connector is made from a lightweight plastic, incorporating an easy push-pull insertion and release system. The E2000 has proven its performance worldwide in CATV and telecommunications networks.
Using a 2.5mm Zirconia (Zr.) high tolerance ferrule it is a perfect choice for both multimode and singlemode applications in FLAT, UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) and APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish. This connector can be terminated to any fibre from 250um (Primary) coated through to the alker Micro Armoured™ range of assemblies for harsher environments.
An important feature of this connector is the automatic spring loaded protective cap. This maximises operator eye safety protection from damaging laser radiation. It also shields the ferrule against contamination.
