- Order your bespoke fibre optic breakout cable from alker. Our patchcables are manufactured on the premises at our site in Surrey. If your breakout cable is already in place, we can terminate the cables on-site or provide pigtails to splice on.
- A typical turnaround time for a breakout fibre cable of up to 24 cores is usually around two weeks.
- alker can also configure your breakout assembly as a fan out or a fibre optic loom.
- We work with different fibre manufactures like Tyco and OCC, for both our multimode and singlemode breakout cables and also keep a wide range of connectors in stock (including LC UPC, FC UPC, E2000 UPC & APC, ST UPC, SC UPC and many more).
- We have extensive experience in designing and manufacturing one-off prototypes.
Our fibre optic cables are available in the OM1, OM2, OM3 or OM4 (multimode) and OS1 (singlemode) standard (ISO/IEC 11801). They are available as a tight buffered cable or loose tube and can be ruggedised further to withstand rodent attack, water, high or low temperatures or excessive vibration.
Breakout cables are made of several fibre cables bundled together and are often used for conduit runs, riser and plenum applications. The most commonly used combinations are 4, 8, 12, 16 and 24 fibres but the fibre count can be as high as 296.
