Polarisation Maintaining terminations for specialist fibre

alker have extensive experience terminating specialist PM fibre from the key fibre manufacturers Nufern, Fibercore and Fujikura.

There are a number of variations available of specialist PM fibre, but the most commonly used configuration is Panda fibre.

Packaging for harsh environments

alker can also package your PM assembly, tailoring it to the operating environment to ensure optimised performance . The armouring available range from 250um (Primary) to 900um (Buffered) 1.6mm, 2mm and 3mm (Ruggedised).

Our next level of protection is Micro Armouring™ which has been designed for less forgiving environments such as outdoors, from 2mm and 3mm stainless steel armouring covered with a PVC jacket.
