Guaranteed Optics Programme
The alker standard is a benchmark for high quality fibre optic terminations. However, we appreciate once our leads are in service within our customer’s environments they are potentially at risk of being damaged. There are various ways this damage can occur. There could be lack of inspection and cleaning procedures, mishandling or accidental damage caused by human error. alker’s Guaranteed Optics (G.O.) service is unique and has been designed with the continuity of your production in mind.
How the alker G.O. procedure works
1. An assembly has been damaged through human error
2. You quarantine the damaged assembly and send it to alker
3. Meanwhile, you can use stock assembly within your stores
4. We will re-polish, re-terminate or replace the assembly and return it to you within 1-3 days
5. Once received you replenish your stock in case of another damaged lead
The benefits of joining the alker G.O. programme
Committing to the G.O. programme eliminates the problem of operators continuing to use damaged leads which will cross contaminate throughout your system. Once you have committed to the G.O. programme, repair costs are added to the initial purchase price or further 1, 3, 5 or 10 yearly bolt-ons for existing leads. No further funding is required for unexpected repair costs while under the protection of the programme which avoids timely delays affecting production and the spread of contamination.
