The alker 90 & 45 degree angled LC boot

This brand new lightweight and compact connector boot use Singlemode or Multimode fibre set at a 90° angle or 45 degree angle with only minimal dB loss - typically 0.2dB. The angle of the boot can also be fixed in place from 0 to 180°, which makes it an ideal option for applications where space is limited.

The distinctive bend also prevents the optic cable from being trapped or damaged in an enclosed space or door.

We have already applied it to the LC style of connector with FC, SC, MU, ST and SMA connectors in development.

Using a 1.5mm diameter tube and extending less than 25mm from the back of the connector, it is the perfect choice in small spaces. It can be used for both multimode and singlemode fibre applications in FLAT, UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) and APC (Angled Physical Contact) polish.

The fibre optic assembly can be ruggedised further with stainless steel.
